As part of our Uberlandia Tourism project (which I just realized I haven't blogged about - so that's to come shortly as well), we have been visiting local tourist attractions. The Praia Clube is a large country club with really good sports facilities which they hope to use to attract teams to Uberlandia for their preparation for the FIFA football world cup next year and the Rio Olympics in 2016.
While touring the Club, I saw a bunch of people playing a curious-looking sport - similar to badminton, but no rackets - they use their hands instead. I was told that it was called Peteca. Here's a clip
